ONYX TAYLOR is a Philadelphian born and raised designer, creative director, and podcast host. 

Taylor’s design journey began at 17, when he launched his first brand, ONYX BY ONYX TAYLOR. Studying Fashion Design for two years at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, upon leaving college he immersed himself in the industry, interning at various showrooms and fashion houses in New York City like Rainbowwave, Michael Kors, and Omondi. 

In 2019, after undergoing a brand transformation, Taylor officially debuted his namesake brand, ONYX TAYLOR, to the world of e-commerce, receiving local and broader industry recognition with his .019 collection. Since then, Taylor remains committed to evolving the brand’s bold and unapologetic presence in further championing Black beauty, Black luxury, and Black aesthetics. 

Recently, Taylor launched his fashion podcast, BEYOND THE SEAM, which seeks to amplify and elevate the presence of Black luxury fashion houses and the creatives whose contributions are industriously molding the art, culture, and fashion landscapes.
